My wife and I went here...

My wife and I went here with another couple based on the stellar reviews we read from others. Desire seemed like the best club in Providence from what I've read. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in our experience.

First, the club. I have no idea how this place is so highly rated in terms of atmosphere. The place is very, very tiny. Granted that we went during the busiest time on a Saturday night (around 11pm), but we were expecting an upscale experience and this was far from it. The stage is extremely small with limited viewing, and the rest of the place is like a dive bar. The only thing we can think of is that reviewers are basing their high rating on the upstairs area (Lust) which costs more money to enter. We were so disappointed that we did not pay the extra money to go to Lust, so my rating is only based on the main area.

We saw a total of maybe 5 or 6 dancers, two on the stage and a few hanging out with their regulars. I'm assuming that everyone else must have been upstairs in the more costly Lust area. Of the 5 or 6, one was a knockout and the rest were simply average. Besides being elbow to elbow with other patrons, the other thing that we noticed was that there were no other couples there. Every other place we have gone, there are at least a few women customers and/or couples there. There were a total of zero here, so I'd say this is not a good place for couples to visit.
