After reading reviews of various Tampa area clubs, I decided to give Mons Venus a try. When I walked in - and paid the cover charge - I looked around to get a sense of the place. Not surprisingly it was dark, so it took awhile for my eyes to adjust. Once that happened I noticed there were 8-10 patrons in the club and about the same number of dancers. The environment itself was a little run down but generally clean and well kept. I ordered a drink (non-alcoholic only) and watched an uninspiring dancer on stage. After a few minutes a thin youngish dancer came by, introduced herself and sat down. After the usual pleasantries, I asked about how the dances worked, and she told me it was $30 per private dance (in a not at all private area - just a space separated from the main floor area by a low wall). I wasn't interested in her, so I declined. A few minutes later a 30-ish and obviously enhanced dancer stopped by and the usual conversation ensued. She explained that there is no set price for dances but rather all prices are negotiable. We negotiated a 3-for-$60 deal and headed back. The dancer, whose name was Pamela and was from Peru, then disrobed, and we got started. She explained that I could touch anything except her "flower." The dance was great with plenty of contact. Very erotic, and she seemed to love her work. After the three dances I moved to another part of the club and struck up a conversation with another 30-something named Jenn. She also had enhanced boobs, but she came across as a little shy. After talking for a few minutes I learned she was fairly new to the business. I stuck a similar deal with her and we went to a "private" area. Jenn didn't seem all that interested in me or in dancing. The moves were there but were mechanical. Again, contact was allowed. After Jenn's dance I left. Bottom line: Mons is a decent nude club with some hot dancers and others not so much. Be prepared to bargain, and you can have a good time.
