I go between Greenville and Charlotte for business and personal visits, so decided to break my latest trip with a return to L&L after many years. It still looks about the same, two pool tables near the bar, one stage with pretty comfortable seating surrounding the stage. I get there and no one is tending the bar...a man goes behind the bar to spit tobacco juice into a trash can, and he lingers back there. I'm thinking he might be the bartender but he never asks me what I'll have to drink. Turns out the bartender was on break and she was a very cute, friendly, curvy brunette. PBR for $3 on a Friday night, not bad. Dancers were not the greatest looking but most were decent looking. Got $5 dances from 3 girls and the quality varied. Some went all out, some I could tell were holding back and trying to push the VIP box ($20 per song I think) which is right next to and in clear view of the DJ. This is a clean club and I get the feeling nothing outside the rules is gonna happen inside the club. Being spoiled from living in Greenville, I had to be careful not to touch the dancers, no touching is allowed on the floor. I had a good time though, and money sure does go a long way with $5 dances. If I would have come across the right dancer, I would have certainly gone to the VIP. But it did not happen on this visit. The highlight was an older man, maybe in his 80's, walked in and started dancing on the floor. He seemed like a regular. This tickled the waitress to death, who started dancing with him. It was quite entertaining and reminded me, in a good way, that I was in a small town where most everybody knows each other. I would recommend this club, especially to locals who could come regularly.
