I haven't been to Desire for...

I haven't been to Desire for more than a year so I decided to visit again to see if it was still as good as I remember it being in the past. Happily the answer is yes, it is still a great place. More dancers during the daytime than any of the other Providence clubs that I frequent, and the dancers are generally quite attractive with plenty of 8's and occasional 9's and none less than 6. The dancers are generally early 20's agewise with very few (none?) over 30. Personally I'd rather have some 30 - 40 dancers in the mix, but I realize that I'm in the minority in that regard.

In my experience Desire does deserve it's reputation as a "regular's" club because many of the dancers seem to spend all their off-stage time sitting with regulars at the bar. Makes me wonder how they make any money? I guess that can be a good thing because you will not be constantly bombarded with aggressive dancers asking you every 5 minutes if you want a dance as is the rule in some clubs. And of the few dancers who do troll the tables looking for dances, in my experience all of them will take a polite "not right now" answer without looking mad or insulted. If you want a dance with a particular dancer, my suggestion is to tip her while she's dancing on-stage and ask her if she's interested in doing some dances when she finishes her set. Or sit over on the far side of the room next to the door to the dressing room and catch her as she's coming out.

There is a private club upstairs, but I've never been up there so I can't provide any insight into whether it's worth the quarterly (I think) dues.
