I stopped by Dolphin II on...

I stopped by Dolphin II on a whim late on a Wednesday night. I had never been there before, but had driven past it many times. When I got there, I discovered that they have a fairly strict dress code for patrons, which fortunately didn't matter for me at the time. Be aware that baggy or oversized clothing is a no-no here.

Upon entrance, the first thing I noticed was the large triple stage in the center, and one of the dancers who was wandering the floor. It was an interesting setup, with two side stages off of the large center one. They looked like they had been extensions, and later when I looked on their website I found that I was right, as they used to be located elsewhere in the club. I went to the bar to get a drink, and since I knew I wouldn't be long, I just got an energy drink. Unfortunately, that Rockstar set me back 7 dollars, so if you like those, I wouldn't recommend getting them here.

I went to one of the side stages, figuring that girls may move from one to the other as their songs progressed, similar to Casa Diablo. Nope, they dance a few songs at only one stage and then move off and are replaced by a new girl, no matter which stage. The dance at the rack was fairly tame for all the dancers. There was a redhead I would have liked to talk to, but another patron bought her a drink as I sat down. There was a brunette with a nice athletic body, who I think I would have liked to talk to; maybe next time. There were a few others who came and went as well, but the one I fnally got a dance with was a blonde . She was the dancer I had seen on the floor when I first came in. Along the way, each lady had asked me if I wanted a private dance, but until this point I had declined. I learned that they were 40 per song, were fully nude, but were fairly hands off. Compared to $40 dances elsewhere in portland, that's a bit of a downer.
