I had been to Playmates a couple years ago and read all the reviews about the changes and thought I would make the drive to Byron. First off, I'll review some of the basics. The club is between Buffalo and Rochester, pretty much nowhere as others have eluded. To be precise, it is in South Byron which is about a mile south of Byron. That little tie bit will help if you are not from the area like me. It is a house on the west side of the right before or after a bridge (railroad bridge) depending on you direction. It has a dimly lit sign, but it is viewable, but still easy to miss. The inside has been overhauled since my last visit. There used to be three rooms with benches behind the bar, now there are about 10.

Pricing changed a bit too. It is no longer just the $13/$65 option only. The normal price is $13 or $65 (comes with three dances same girl). They had $5 Tuesday which was your entry fee, no drink (juice and soda bar). They also had a sign for half price Wednesday, which is a $7 entry. Dances were $30 for one or buy two get one free (all three same girl). Not knowing what to expect, I opted for $5 entry figuring if I get dances I will still be at $65, just no drink. Plus it gave me more for the stage, more on that in a minute. I did not see any other specials posted and drinks were not rediculous.

As for the ladies, gone were Peaches, Alexis, and others I was used to seeing on prior visits over the past several years. Rain was the only person I had seen previously. They had about 6 girls working. Kittie (also the owner of the club now) was on when I arrived. All the ladies (except one) I found to be very personable and gave good stage shows. I am not sure I can think of a club in the U.S. where a dollar will go farther at the tip rail. I am trying to think how to equate this and give proper credit without too much credit. I guess you could call it more than a Detroit H8 handshake, but far less than HK in Tijuana for a description of the thank you to expect at the stage while tipping. How much or how little you get for each $1 or 2, 3, etc. seems to be part of the intrigue factor. I did not do any dances as there were 5 out of 6 I would have liked to have tried and couldn't make a decision. The girls I would break it dow like this. 2 plus size, one knew how to work it, one not so much. Two ladies with a fair amount of tats, but killer bodies and very friendly. Two with that wow factor and very friendly as well, one of which had an it factor that was off charts. All were white, no other representation of race or nationality. Like I said, all the ladies were just very friendly, no one pushed for any dances. They were just laid back and fun. I was pleasantly surprised and hope to have time to make the trek back on Wed.
