This review will cover two stops...
This review will cover two stops to Lido in the past few weeks, both disappointing.
The first visit I stopped in about 12:30pm, 30 minutes after opening. Upon entering the club you have to pass through a hall and smaller bar area before entering into the main club area. The strong smell of cigarette smoke was my first impression, the second was that back door was open and there were several construction workers in the dance area installing new large floor to ceiling mirrors. A couple of patrons and one dancer were sitting at the bar, the DJ and the bar tender were the only other people in the place. The good news, with the back door open and the lights up, it was easy to see that this club is kept pretty clean (by SC standards). The bar tender told me that the guys would be finishing up in a few minutes, so I bought a bottle of water and took a seat and watched the guys working (yipee!). Long story short, about 20 minutes later the guys seemed no closer to finishing than before and there were no dancers in sight, so I left.
Second visit was about two weeks later, about 2pm, The parking lot only had a few cars but I decided to stop in anyway and give it another chance. The place was a graveyard. I cruised in and out in under 2 minutes. A couple of patrons at the bar and no dancers that I could see, so I hit the road.
