There is a clear line for me between worthwhile and waste of time. Lace is the latter. The club itself is in a good spot, just north of Times Square. There was no cover when I entered but there was a mandatory $3 cost check. The club itself is on the small side. I arrived at 6:00 and there were 4 dancers that I could see. They ranged from 4-5 and were simply not my type. The drinks were expensive ($12) and the clientele looked to be more locals than tourists. I settled in for a few songs but to be honest I couldn't relax because I knew that there were other options right around the corner. I made a hasty retreat and headed to FlashDancers and was very glad that I made the move. See my review of FlashDancers - one of the best clubs that I've been to (not quite a good as Baby Dolls in Dallas but still a lot of talent and a bargain especially for NYC).
