Serious Disappointment! Based on previous visits and experience I decided to drive south from Miami with a pocket full of cash and high hopes for an entertaining evening. And why not this is a club that usually has an adequate supply of willing entertainers that often surprise you in very pleasant ways. I got to the club around 9 o'clock, which on a weeknight should be okay. I paid the $5 or $6 dollar admission and went to the bar, ordered a cold beer and sat down to survey this evening's possible companions. The cold beer was the high point of my stay. At Showgirls the dancers will perform first on the main stage, then move directly to a small stage at the end of the bar, adjacent to where I was sitting. This is usually an efficient way to make contact with the entertainer of choice. Tonight there were only a few dancers. Most were of an appearance that would not have suggested that they had chosen an appropriate line of work. One more attractive dancer just went to the back of the large rectangular bar and spent her time consuming a plate of what appeared to be hot wings. After about 40 minutes, I gave up, left, and headed up Dixie Hwy for greener pastures. You could say I was going Stir Crazy.
