I was going to try Bada...

I was going to try Bada Bing after Atlantis, but it was closed when I rolled up around 2:20 so I ventured back across the bridge to the Dale Mabry strip. I thought about trying out Mons, but went to my old favorite 2001. After reading a recent review, I was wary...but I’m loyal and 2001 has been good to me in the past. The clincher was when I saw there was no cover with event tickets (I went to the women’s final four).

Walked up to the club and showed the ladies my ticket, asking if I could put it back in the car once they saw it. She said they had to keep the ticket for bookkeeping purposes. They weren’t getting my ticket, so I asked them what the cover was. They said 20, so I thought about it for a few seconds: while I was thinking, the older lady (who I guess was some sort of manager) said I could pay 10 and keep my ticket. Sold.

Walked in and noticed the difference immediately. There were fewer tables (thank God: it used to be a nightmare walking through there on Saturdays), lower chairs, and better – or at least more – lighting. Some other stuff got fixed up too: restroom looks a lot better. Layout is still the same: main bar to your immediate left, booths to the right, stage in the middle, LD area along the right wall toward the back, spaceship/champagne entrances along the back over to the left.
