I started out around 9PM on a Friday night up on 8 Mile at Players, with all the chatter of police raiding the Detroit clubs (read “no extras”) I decided to take the 30 minute trek down to Inkster to the Flight Club (outside of Detroit) arriving a little before 1AM.

Flight Club is the crown Jewel of the Inkster/Dearborn area, so I can put up with a little arrogance, like the valet being $1 or $2 more than everywhere else, the cover being $5 more and the drinks being a bit more expensive, but the arrogance of the staff and dancers was too much to bear tonight.

I have been clubbing in Detroit for close to 2 years (over 30 nights out) and for the first year I only went to Flight Club and occasionally BTs Dearborn. Flight Club used to be that good, that I had no reason to explore anywhere else. Good dancers, solid staff, and you paid a premium but I never once was ripped off and all the dancers were straight forward with me in a “customer service oriented,” kind of way. It was rare to find a dances only dancer, now it seems a good amount of girls is offering only dances.
