The first thing you see while...

The first thing you see while driving on the highway is sign after sign advertising, "Cafe Risque - We bare all 24/7." It is located in Micanopy, Florida, a very small town. Upon pulling in to the parking lot, there is ample space for cars, RVS, buses, semis etc. There was actually 2 semi-trucks parked while I was there. When you enter, you're greeted at a counter by someone who takes the money for the cover charge. As I was an Alachua county resident, it was only $5! One of the cheapest covers I've ever seen. Once you walk inside the club, the first thing you notice is that there is a small section that looks like it is selling pornographic videos and toys. To the side of that is a pool table next to a smaller stage, and than in the "main room," there was a larger stage with a mirror on the back wall in front of about 18 different tables. The waitress (fully nude) said that there is a 1 item minimum, and handed me a menu to browse. They have standard diner breakfast/brunch fare, but be warned that NO ALCOHOL IS SERVED OR ALLOWED HERE. I believe this is due to some county law involving fully nude & liquor. I was too wary to order food, so I opted for a coke which was like $3.

As far as the dancers go, 3 of the 5 were very very attractive. They dance on stage one at a time for about 5-8 minutes, and they all get fully nude. You are only allowed to tip them by placing a dollar in the garter, they are very very strict about touching anything whatsoever. The dancers offered me a lapdance off of the menu, which featured a "bed dance," where you lie on a bed and the dancer is topless and dances on you. She can touch, you cannot. The other options are a chair dance, and than a peep show style dance (this is the only one where the dancer will be fully nude, but she is behind a 1 way mirror so she cannot see you.) I did not partake in any of these at the time.

Overall, this is the ONLY option for a strip club within at least 50 miles. If there was other options, I'm sure that this location would not exist anymore, but I think that their monopoly on the business is what is keeping them alive. Give it a shot...worth $5!
