Mickey's has long been my club...

Mickey's has long been my club of choice around Fayetteville. For whatever reasons I have not been in a while. So one Saturday night a few weeks ago I had 2 hours to waste and had heard a few rumors that I wanted to confirm. I come in the front door and the first rumor was true. Only the small side to the left was Mickey's, the large side on the right was now some type of heavy metal bar. Such a shame I had always enjoyed the space and laid back nature of Mickey's. I proceeded to pay my $6 and entered the micro club. In the past you could put 100 customers in Mickey's and it would not be crowded, now 20 people would pack the place. I venture to the back to use the bathroom before I order a drink and what do you know its a single stall. I absolutely cant stand a public bar, restaurant or club that has a one stall bathroom. Waiting in line to use the bathroom while some drunk takes 10 minutes to pee is kind of ridiculous. So I proceed to the bar and order my usual vodka tonic. Never had I ever had a bad drink at Mickey's but this time they must have used the cheapest vodka known to man. It was awful. So the next one was goose and tonic, atleast I knew what I was going to get, even if it was a little pricey. Now on to the Dancing. the music was being played from a jukebox that the girls had to put money in to get the songs they wanted. Everytime there was an empty stage between girls because the next girl was feeding the jukebox to get her songs. Major buzzkill. Being the patient person that I am I still hung around to see the talent. With all of the negatives a high talent level would trump everything. But again the talent was not up to par. Boy do I miss the days that Mickey's had the best talent in Fayetteville. And now with the trouble that Sparky's and Sharkey's are having, Mickey's could be back to the good ole days but with only having the small side there is no way that can happen. This visit is one of the few visits that I have made to a strip club that I didn't even tip a dollar because there was nothing worth tipping. Just sad.
