I have been wanting to find the time (and the nerve) to check out Arnies as a clearly identifable outsider. Based on the reviews, I thought the interior was actually a little nicer than I imagined (I was thinking Detroit dive clubs, but it was a little nicer). As described, the private booths were dumpy (two chairs facing one another).

Upon entering, got brief frisk and was told cover was $10. I said, "$10?" (because I thought it was $5) and he said "Naww man, it's $15." I said, "I thought you said $10?" He replied, "used to be $10, now it is $15." I am pretty sure I got bouncer-scammed for the extra $5. Silly! Not off to a great start. Whatever; take the extra $5 and have a nice life, 'roid boy!
