Finally made it all the way...

Finally made it all the way out to Upland, home of the infamous Tropical Lei. After hearing alot of good things about the place I decided to take a long lunch break (!) on a Friday, suck up the 1.5 hr drive there, and check the place out for myself.

Got to the door and asked if a fave dancer was there and the door guy said that she was. Paid the $15 cover and headed in. Got my $6 diet coke from the male bartender (friendly enough guy) and took a seat on the far side of the stage, near the topless booths. A cute Asian dancer immediately came over and sat with me. She seemed very girl-friendly. She was saying (and touching) all of the right things, but I tried to stay focused and remember who I was there for. I told her that I was there to see someone, and she was cool with that. I told her that maybe I would find her later. Looking around I see maybe 3 or 4 PL's, and about 8 dancers sitting around either on their phones or talking to each other, pretty typical for that time of day, tho it being a Friday I thought that it might have been a bit more hoppin' at lunchtime.

Club itself is well laid out, and after realizing that the topless dances are basically wide open and everyone can see you, I knew that the very private looking VIP area was gonna be the only thing that I would consider. The ladies room is a stand alone at the edge of the bar, which was a pleasant surprise. I got the sense of total relaxation at this club, like I was a local's style club, very much the opposite of a DV or Rhino club.
