Well, the temperatures are swinging toward spring time and more folks are coming out to the clubs. For a city that is supposedly economically strapped, you wouldn't know it from venturing the strip club circuit...lol! I went to several clubs on Saturday & Sunday during my short visit. Ace was packed with cars surrounding the building, so I knew what I gonna face as I parked in the residential neighborhood and approached the club. I get the quick pat and enter and was told $40 cover! That's not a typo...lol! Usually, I'd starting negotiating, but I was so turned off by the price tag I didn't even try. Plus, one of the good things about Ace is that you are already inside the club when you go up to pay (vice paying and having to go through another door to see who's working and check the vibe - I wish all clubs were like this.), so I could see the "party" and basically no one was getting personal attention, mainly stage tipping and "rain" money, so I graciously made my exit. Basically, the more I pay for cover, the less I'm going to enjoy the club. And if they are charging more than $20, I already know to just turn around....
