I found myself wandering around Broadway...
I found myself wandering around Broadway in the early afternoon on a Saturday. Only two clubs were open -- Roaring 20s and Hustler. The woman at the door to Roaring 20s was cute, and I paid the $10 cover and went in. The club is dark, and it was a bright sunny day; by the time my eyes had adjusted enough to make out the stage and the seats against the wall a dancer had come up to me and introduced herself with a hug. I took her up on her offer of a tour of the club. Up the stairs we went and into the VIP room where she described the various levels of private dances. When I asked about the price of each level, she simply said, "what's your budget?" After a pleasant but rather fruitless conversation -- I didn't want to divulge my budget; she didn't want to state any prices -- I returned to the main floor to watch and tip the stage dancers. Tipping the dancers on the stage was a very pleasant experience; I was rather well rewarded for each dollar I put in garters. Soon a second dancer came up to me and greeted me even more physically than the first; she encouraged a fair bit of groping while she gave me her version of the upstairs tour, and she spent plenty of time using her hands to encourage me to spend some time with her -- and some serious money; although she wouldn't say much besides "what's your budget", it was clear that her options started at $40 for a topless dance for one song. Back downstairs I went to enjoy more stage tipping. But there were only three dancers on shift, and one only did VIPs, so after two dancers on stage the DJ announced there would be a pause before stage dancing resumed. I wandered over to Hustler but found the dancers there to be very, very cold and standoff-ish, so I soon returned to Roaring 20s. I took the first dancer up on her offer of a private dance, negotiating two songs for $40. We went to a rather uncomfortable bench with curtain upstairs, and not one of the comfier rooms with a bed. But she said the $40 I gave her went to the house and I needed to tip her more if I wanted more than an air dance. Her dance was good. But the upsell was a downer. In short: it seems that at Roaring 20s you can get anything you want. But it will cost you. Next time I'll probably say no to the urge to get a private and simply enjoy the stage experience.
