Went back to the Lamplighter recently...

Went back to the Lamplighter recently and it was slightly different but still good. They removed the pool tables in favor of a private dance area. Dances were $10 in the open area and I think $20 in the private area. There were 5 or 6 dancers tonight and they were all relatively young & attractive with an even mix of white, black, and latina. Looks-wise while they weren't playboy centerfolds they were definitely attractive and I actually think that the fact that they weren't a group of overly similar bleach blonde girls rather endearing but that's just my taste. Drinks are a relatively good deal and while they don't have bottle service the waitress and/or bartender can get you what you want. They also serve food too which is relatively inexpensive. General atmosphere here I'd say is of a neighborhood strip club bar in a working class area.

Now on to the dances. The $10 dance on the side couch areas is an okay value for MN standards and they generally provide a grind and boobs in your face too. No touching the dancers though. But by MN standards not a bad deal for 10 bucks. I haven't tried the $20 private dance yet but it seems the dancer gives you more of a dance with the private pole in the area. All in all I'd say it was a good experience and you can have a fun time for cheap here.
