Been to Platinum West several times...

Been to Platinum West several times over the past 6 months and this review will serve as a summary for cumulative visits. My typical routine is to stop by Platinum West around 8-10 PM and head out to Platinum Plus if there is no talent. As of lately the scene has been so dismal that I skip Platinum West altogether.

As echoed by previous reviewers, since they've received their liquor license, dances have gone from full nude to topless only. As a result girls are receiving significantly less onstage tips. They are much more aggressive about pushing you to buy lap dances which is fine except it's done to the extent that it's annoying. On a recent visit one overweight (OK, overweight is being polite, morbidly obese) plopped herself on my lap and asked if I would like any company. I politely declined with "No, I'm waiting for someone" and she and her double wide friend proceeded to solicit shots and wanted to go to the champagne room. This went on for 45 minutes. Had there been anyone on stage worthwhile, I would have made the excuse to get up and tip and just gotten a dance with someone else to ditch these girls however no such opportunity arose. Typically there have been less than 10 girls, 1-3 customers, and you can sense the desperation the moment you walk through the doors and their eyes land on you all at once. And as soon as you take a seat they circle around you like vultures.

On average half of the girls in the 1-4 range, two or 3 in the in the 5-6 range. Half the times I've been there there has been one girl on the 7-8 range. On those occasions I will sample a few dances and leave. On multiple occasions I have gone in, sat down, and after seeing all the girls rotate through and waiting around for any late comers, left without getting a dance or a drink.

The girls are so far and few between that the center stage is not always staffed which leaves for awkward conversation when a group on unengaging girls are seated in a circle around you and you have nowhere else to divert your eyes from the stretch marks, michelin tire rolls, and tits sagging to the knees.

Don't get me wrong. I understand there is someone for everyone and not every dancer should be of a prescribed. I enjoy a club with variety more so than a club with uniformly plastic looking 8-10s with uniformly business as usual conversation. What ruins Platinum West is the air of desperation. The transparently coerced one or two sentence conversation that segues into "Have you ever had a chance to visit the champagne room?"
