So, I read here on TUSCL that Jen's had reopened and immediately made plans to check it out. While it wasn't the greatest club in Akron, it was a go-to spot from time to time. While the place had its share of down-and-out dancers, some of the dancers in the old Jen's were quite spectacular. Mileage usually was great. Atmosphere was very relaxed. So, I went over on a Friday afternoon to see what, if anything, had changed. The physical facility itself was pretty much the same. They cleaned it up a bit, but they didn't really spruce it up (but that was never why anyone would go to Jen's). The place had maybe a dozen patrons and maybe half that number of dancers. They were not the best I've ever seen at Jen's, mostly 3-5s. There was one cute girl - I think her name was Katy. Anyway, she was cute and petite and friendly. She looked like she was 18-19, but I found out later she was much older. I got a table dance for $5 and then headed to the VIP area (which is still the same bullpen style layout where all the couches and chairs face the center of the room) for a few dances. The dances were nothing that special, but she was a cute girl. Bottom line - I may try the place again to see if they can attract back some of the better dancers, but I was not impressed.
