I went to the Playhouse on a Tuesday night around midnight. There was a $5 cover charge. Domestic bottles of beer are $1.75 on Monday and Tuesday nights. This is a fair price, even considering beer only contains 3.2% alcohol in Oklahoma. The main stage is in the corner of the club, about waist-high. There are also two smaller auxiliary stages on the other side of the club, but neither was in use on a Tuesday night. The club has two bars, but only the larger of the two was in service. The music was mostly hip hop, pop, and rock. My only complaint was the DJ playing Insane Clown Posse's "Chicken Huntin'".
There were eight dancers working. Four were Caucasian and four were African-American. I am not a choco-chaser, but three of the black girls were athletic and hot. All of the white dancers were at least fuckable. I would say the dancers were mostly 6-8’s. Virtually all of the dancers, including the rock chick I had my eyes on, just sat with their regulars the whole time I was there. Come to think of it, only one dancer approached me the whole time I was there. Lap dances cost $20. Lap dances are done in a little pit area next to the main stage. There is no privacy from the rest of the club, and it looked like topless lappers were one-way contact only. At one point, the dancers were asked to circulate the room and give $1 dances. Most just gave the $1 dances to their regs. Hot dancers, restrictive rules, and lots of hotels close by put three letters into my head: O-T-C.
The Playhouse was decent on a Tuesday night, but it might be better on the weekend. Although the Playhouse was nothing to write home about, I would return next time I am in Oklahoma City since this club had dancers with above average looks, unlike the Double D Saloon.
