I worked here one day shift...

I worked here one day shift as a dancer. I was really looking for a club with a decent day shift, since I have other obligations at night. Diva's seemed like an okay place to try after talking to the manager on the phone. He seemed super nice and told me that they were looking for girls. Honestly, after moving to Louisville, I had not danced in awhile so even though I look pretty nice, I didn't feel like going to a really busy or upscale place after such a long break. I thought Diva's sounded like a laid back place to get my feet wet (again). Not having had much luck in Louisville, I headed to Lexington.

The club itself doesn't look bad inside. Maybe a bit dated, but not nasty, like a few places here in town (Louisville, that's another story). The manager I'd spoken to on the phone (Michael I think was his name) had been let go or quit like 2 days before I arrived and all the things he told me on the phone (house fees and whatnot) had been changed since then. I was already there, and traveled an hour and said "WTH?". I asked the manager on duty if I could work and he said I could have a "trial shift". I thought that was adorable, since the place had only 1 dancer, another black girl (I too am a black dancer), when I got there. I hate to say it, but she wasn't very attractive. She maybe could have been, but she needed some guidance.

Later a white dancer showed up, older and a bit out of shape. So for awhile it was just me and those two with no customers.

I will say that all dancers and staff that I met were super nice.
