Went with friends in the middle...
Went with friends in the middle of the day. The sun was still up, that's how you know I've got a problem. This place is unique. I have been to many clubs around the country. The business model of most clubs is for the girls to do a quick spin on the pole in order to entice you to buy a lap dance. The "private area" in Mary's Club was a closet-like space right next to the entrance, with no real door. This is not so much a grind spot, a jack shack, or even a peep show. This is more like a low budget burlesque lounge where middle age couples come to have a beer and watch tatted up women do a playful tease. The girls (there were 2 when we went) took turns dancing on an elevated platform while the crowd of 15 or so sat in highback chairs some 10~20 ft away. Not sure how you'd event tip. The waitress was cool though.
I imagine this was what strip clubs were like back in my pappy's pappy's time. No touching, no overtly sexual gestures, and colorful decorum adorned the walls. My ratings were all middle of the road, mainly because I cannot rate this place on the same curve as all other clubs I have been to. It's different, but that's not a bad thing. None of the sleaziness of Seattle, COI, or DFW clubs to be found here. What is here was new to me.
