I've been to this club before,...
I've been to this club before, often to watch a game and have a beer, and sometimes to get a dance depending on the talent that was available. As other reviews have mentioned, this isn't a big club, but it's not cramped inside, either. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the staff, most of them anyway, are friendly.
But I went in last Thursday to watch the Clippers/Spurs game and I got my beer and a seat on the east side of the building where I could watch and occasionally tip the girls on stage during the commercials. Then I was approached by E---. She asked if I wanted a dance and I declined, but after the game ended and she was still hanging around, I struck up another conversation with her and decided to take her up on the offer to go back to VIP. I've had dances on the floor before. Nice but never spectacular, and assumed the back would be the same, but she was very persuasive that evening. I paid the $20 entrance fee (dancers are $20 apiece) to the DJ and off we went.
I want to note that before I go back to VIP in a club I'm unfamiliar with, I set the stopwatch on my phone to see how long I'm back there lest they try any shenanigans. The dancers were OK. Not great, better than out on the floor, but not nearly as great as she sold them. Lesson learned, right? Well, two dances and I was done, so we walked to the DJ to pay and he says, "$80." I beg his pardon and remind him we were only back for two dances. "No, four. I counted."
