Portraying itself as a high-class place, the Penthouse Club is definitely posh looking with the kind of prices that go along with it. $40 for a topless lap dance, $60 for a nude. Minimum of three dances for a private room. $400 for a half an hour, not including tip. Think of a medium-end Vegas club.

I stopped by on an early Saturday evening last week. Snow was flying so not a lot of traffic on the floor. After a $5 cover charge, I entered the main room. A very nice bar with an even nicer looking bartender was on my immediate right. From here, you gaze out on the long rectangle that makes the club. The main floor of the club is about three feet lower than the entrance. There are three stages, two large round ones on either side of the end opposite the entrance, and one long narrow one that is in front of the bar. An interesting stage, the long narrow one is on the sunken floor, but backs up against the higher entrance platform. They have placed a long, narrow sideboard there with chairs, so you can watch the dancer from slightly above. Also very interesting is the fact that only the rectangular stage has a pole. The two round ones have no poles at all.

There is an upper level that you can get to by a stair at the far end. Up there, out of sight and (mostly) out of the sound of the main room, they have their private 'rooms'. More on that later.
