Babes is your low-key ghetto hole-in-the-wall strip club located in an undesirable part of town. I typically like to come here in the late afternoon or early evening when there's just the right amount of custies and dancers. Cover charge is ten bucks after 7:00 and parking is an additional ten bucks after 8:00 on weekends. Beer prices are around $5-$6. The club does have drink specials throughout the week (check out their website for more information). Thug factor is pretty low on most days and nights. Friday and Saturday nights it can be quite thuggish though. Just mind your own business and nothing will happen to you. Layout hasn't changed so refer to my previous review of this club if you want to get an idea of how this club looks on the inside.

The quality of girls has picked up slightly within the past few weeks. More 7’s and 8’s now. It seems like a lot of girls just come and go...one week they are here and then they are gone by the next. All of the dancers are black or are partially mixed with black. Most of them are on the thick side with big asses to boot although you can find some slim petite ones with a decent booty. Some real, some enhanced (I’d say it is about 50/50). The girls here are generally friendly and are not really pushy for dances or drinks...a lot of them are able to take “no” for an answer and move on gracefully. The dancers mostly twerk in different positions on the stage but there are a handful that can actually utilize the pole very well.

Music is exclusively rap and R&B although I have heard them play Miley Cyrus’ “Wrecking Ball” a couple of times. As in most black clubs, the DJ’s can be quite annoying with them talking on the mic and interrupting the songs. Also, they are rather inconsistent with their song length. Sometimes they will play the song fully while at other times they’ll cut the song short and transition to another one. Also, if no one is tipping the dancers on the stage the DJ’s will abruptly stop the music until people throw some $1’s on stage. I’m not too much of a stage tipper but when I’m sitting near or in the vicinity of the stage I will give a dancer a dollar or two just out of courtesy and respect for their profession (although one can legitimately argue that stripping is considered a “profession” to begin with).
