I get to Atlanta on business...
I get to Atlanta on business a few times a year, and I've been to Mardi Gras many times over the last, I dunno, maybe 8 to 10 years. I had always been at night until my most recent trip. I got to my hotel in the early afternoon, and though I had a reservation, they didn't have a room ready for me to check into yet. Realizing I was only five minutes away from Mardi Gras, where else was I gonna go to kill some time?
At night I always park (for free, without incident) in the well-lit Publix grocery store lot next door, but since this was in the afternoon, I was able to get a spot in the Mardi Gras lot. No valet in sight, and no cover charge to get in. MG is a nice club; pretty good size with a large main stage, three satellite stages, and a couple of bars offering full alcohol. One of the bartops doubles as a stage when it gets busy. There's a second floor, which is where the VIP rooms are.
Dance rotations on the stages are 2 or 3 songs, and the girls are nude by the last song. Floor dances at your table are $10, nude, mostly air, and done out in the open. When it's crowded, if there's a floor dance going on near you, it's about as good as if you had paid for it yourself, since you are getting nearly the same view and about the same amount of contact. The girls are mostly in the 7-10 range, mostly young, and all nicely-proportioned shapes and colors.
