Was in Motown on business recently, and based on tuscl.com I decided to visit this club on my last free night. My wallet is quite grateful I did not find this club sooner. It's moments like this that I'm thankful for the internet.
All things considered this is probably the best club experience I've had, so where to start? Physical layout is simple, large stage dominates the floor, there's a smallish bar at one end and tables and booths all around the stage. Like others have mentioned the stage isn't the only dance area, there are poles in front of the major booth areas, as well as one at the bar itself. Upstairs and in a small room downstairs are the private dance areas, basically big comfortable chairs where the real action happens (more on that later). There was no cover charge, and since I was new I decided to forego tipping the door guy a $20 for a booth for the time being and just check out the action from the bar. I was not disappointed. The view from the bar is excellent, as the stage comes almost up to it. In some respect it's probably the best view in the house, as the central locationi means you can see each of the pole locations.
You'll notice I gave this club a 10 for rating, and that's a personal first. Everything is just done right. The lighting is subdued, but brighter than most clubs I've been in, so you can actually see the dancers and the folks you're talking to. I've never understood why clubs have to be so dark you trip over furniture on your way to a lap dance. The music is loud enough to hear, but low enough to hold a conversation with the person next to you. Both of these may seem like minor points, but when you spend several hours in a club they can start to annoy you. Anything that takes your attention off the girls on the floor is a bad thing, in my opinon.
