Back in the day I was...

Back in the day I was at Bandaids all the time. It was a popular spot for guys after catching a game downtown since it is so close by, and they had a great mix of girls. Even if there wasn't a game, the location right off the freeway made it easy to get to on a whim, and it was small enough that it was easy to get to know the girls. I was out of circulation for a while, so it seemed like a trip back to Bandaids would be a good way to get my feet wet again.

I had some downtown business early in the day, so I headed to the club in the afternoon. It's right on the corner, but you can park in the back if you want to be a little more discrete. They've done a little work since the last time I was there, adding an outside area so you can smoke without having to exit & re-enter the club. It's still a tight setup inside, with the bar up front and the stage in the back.

There was a big nostalgia factor for me, but the current club environment doesn't live up to my memories. Maybe I am just getting old, but the mix of girls is more narrow, and the soundtrack is much more urban/rap than the funk, GnR, and electronica they used to mix in. The girls were okay, but didn't show a lot of energy in their stage shows so I couldn't find anyone with enough spark to even try a dance. Maybe I should have tried an evening shift instead.
