A tale of two clubs. The first, pre-9pm BSC, is an empty, vibeless club with about a dozen dancers on shift, few of whom are worthy of the standard "BSC hires the hottest dancers in Phoenix" cliche that is so prevalent. I did finally try one dance from a brunette named Zooey (no doubt after the actress Deschanel, whom she resembled), wearing a push-up top. Sadly, the only thing memorable about her dance was its utter lack of proximity to my lap or any other body part. Fortunately, she was called to the stage after one lap so I was able to cut off the yawn-fest without any drama. I was truly shocked at how few girls (and customers there were but wanted to wait until the 9PM roll call before leaving.

Glad I stayed. The 9PM roll call started promptly at 9:08, and at least 30 dancers graced the three stages waiting for their names to be announced by the DJs. As is their wont, many immediately made a beeline back to the dressing room, but enough stayed out and were of high quality to make the visit worthwhile. First up, "The Body" Kendra approached me, and off we went immediately to VIP. Kendra is exactly what one hopes to find in a strip club: smoking hot, great body and a great personality, too. Even though she hadn't seen me in well over a year, she not only remembered me but actually remembered my name! That was totally unexpected, though the quality of her laps was not. I highly recommend her, though, that's somewhat akin to recommending Mike Trout be your first pick in fantasy baseball (it's a no brainer). Next up was Tianna, maybe the hottest, bustiest Asian dancer in Phoenix. Some quick time reacquainting ourselves, and off to the VIP with her. Not as hands-on as Kendra, but still worthwhile, if only to have her on your lap for 10-20 minutes to see her up close and personal. Finally, I lapped with my favorite Cajun AA fitness dancer, who topped off my night.

One side note: those who have been coming here for years remember the walled off area behind the main stage used to be the rear of the club. When the economy went south, the walls went up to make club seem not so empty. Finally, they've turned that unused area into an overflow VIP room, which opens up when the raised VIP room gets crowded. I recommend going there when it is available, as the privacy level ticks up a notch, as there are not tables looking directly at your laps in there.
