Silk is located in the remodeled building that once held the Wiggles club. A sign in the club indicates that Silk is a sister club of Fantasy Club (Hammond IN) and Club O a club in Illinois. So the owners have some idea on how to run a club. The cover charge varies and is $10.00 (Friday - Sunday) and zero (Mon Thursday).

The price of a beer also varies and is 2.00 when the cover is 10.00 and $4.00 when the cover is zero. The facilities have been remodeled but last week the urinal was out of order. The bouncer and bar tender are cordial and the patrons are not terribly loud or aggressive. The times that I have visited, the dancers have been primarily afro American and Hispanic. One or two white dancers have been there in my six visits. About a third of the dancers appear to be first time dancers, the rest are experienced and don't seem to mind contact from customers sitting at the edge of the stage.

Drinks for the dancers are $20.00 and lap dances are also $20.00. The area where a lap dance takes place is not at all private, in that if another person is having a dance, he will be about four feet away. During a lap dance, the dancers have said you can touch me. There are other areas at the rear of the club for more expensive sessions with the dancer. There has always been at least one dancer that I thought was attractive and could provide dances that would put various parts of her anatomy within several inches of your face. And I felt that I had gotten $20.00 dollars worth of entertainment. Even though there's never been more than 7 or 8 dancers, the number of patrons has not been more than 15 on the nights when I attended. So you will not have to worry about being overlooked by the dancers. If you like a little more noise or more variety in your dancers, try Fantasy also in Hammond. Finally a comparison to the former Wiggles Club, would say that Wiggles was a little wilder and a lot more crowded (but that was four years ago).
