Marking my third strip club visit...
Marking my third strip club visit ever (still a newbie, but looking to learn!), I checked out Teasers in Durham this past November (2014). Overall I would say I had a good time, though I was pretty conservative with my level of interaction. The most striking/unusual part of the club, as others have noted, is that the "stage" is floor-level, just a roped off area of the room. This sounds like it would be odd, but for me it was actually pretty cool. It felt more personal and direct with dancers at eye-level (or boobs eye-level if you're seated). It's certainly different, but seems like a fresh twist on the normal set.
The dancers varied a bit in skill, with some rather athletic pole dancers to others who just sort of bounced around the stage. Some of the dancers were slightly choreographed to their song, which was nice, but not necessarily the norm. Mostly white girls, varied a lot from pretty thin to rather heavy. While not everyone was on-point, there was only one woman who really should't have been there. Two of them were plus-sized, but one of the two was confident and energetic, and while she may not be your type she definitely had a place on the floor. The other though was just sort of sad - she had no energy, no moves, looked like she really didn't want to be there, and only seemed to get pity tips. It was a really mood-killer.
The plus side though is that there are actually two stages at all times. The main floor stage where the dancers first come out and do their "main feature" for 2 songs (clothed, then topless). Then there's a small, slightly-raised side stage that they head over to and do another two songs (while the new girl comes out on the main stage). This gives you some flexibility to follow a girl you like, or bounce to the other stage if you're not happy with the current performer.
