Met up with some buddies at...

Met up with some buddies at a nearby bar and we all decided to hit up the Monkey. Stopped by and picked up a few bottles of whiskey to drink for our visit. Was unimpressed with the high cover, air dance offers, and pushiness to get to the VIP for 1/2 hour times. Door people were nice, and they examined our booze. Then up the stairs to the actual club, which was smaller than I expected.

Nobody was in the club when we got there, so I'm assuming we were way too early. Customers trickled in as the night wore on, and there was only the main stage for dancing. I urged my companions to tip early and often, and we got plenty of attention since we were the only ones tipping and sitting close to the stage. Girls hung out with us for most of the early evening until they realized we wouldn't buy an air dance and we didn't want to pony up for the 30 or 60 minute sessions.

Continued to check out the talent until almost midnight, then left.
