I was in Savannah for only...

I was in Savannah for only a couple of days and the map said this club was close. When I arrived about 10 PM the place was way too quiet. Four dancers were sitting onstage ignoring customers, talking to each other and occasionally getting up and dancing with each other (not stripping!). The waitress was in a corner visiting with another customer and it took a lot to get the bartender to quit wiping out an ice bucket and notice she had a customer. Finally, beer in hand, I took a seat near the four dancers and waited and waited and waited. Nothing was happening. The dancers ignored me, ignored the other three customers, ignored the tip I set on the stage. They also ignored the three "doormen" (who alternated, two outside smoking and one standing near the entry) and the "DJ" (who was making comments often, apparently thinking he was being funny).

I stuck around long enough to finish my beer and not once did a waitress or dancer even look my way. I am not sure why, but this monday night was absolutely NOT customer appreciation night at the Savannah Gentlemens Club.
