This is based on 2 Friday...

This is based on 2 Friday afternoon visits -- last week and yesterday. Very different experiences.

Last week, I arrived about 6:20pm (Friday happy hour is 4-7) and the place was pretty dead. There was a buffet including free oysters (of course tipping the guy shucking your plate of 4-6 a dollar is pretty much normal) but there wasn't much other food and what there was didn't seems very good. The dancers were not impressive, I stayed about 45 minutes and headed somewhere else.

Yesterday was different, much more positive. Maybe part of it was that I arrived a couple of hours earlier. There was some caviar (which didn't impress me with it's taste but what do I know) but there were lots of spiced shrimp, loads of other food and great oysters. In addition, the dancers were much better, the place was full (last week not so much), the DJ seemed psyched up and all in all, it seemed like the MS of old. I had fun. A large (24oz) draft beer is $4.50 during happy hour. This was my first visit in a while that I enjoyed, I almost gave up on visiting this place after last week. I did quiet down a bit towards the end of happy hour but not like last week.
