I visited...
I visited on Sat. afternoon from 1:30 til 4pm. While I was there, Shadowcat and two other TUSCLers were also in attendance. Since not much had changed from my last visit , I was initially not going to write a review. However, I just read another review of Follies for Sunday which prompted me to write this. The Sunday reviewer mentioned that the valet parking was in effect at 1:30 when he arrived. I also experienced the new valet policy (in effect at 1:30) when I arrived on the day before. The old policy was that the valet would not start until 3pm or 4pm and you could park yourself anywhere if you got there early. The charge of $5 is not a big deal. However, I , like the other reviewer, did not want to give the valet guys access to the contents of my vehicle. I typically keep a lot of my business merchandise in my car and have no intention of letting them have at it. Like the other reviewer, I parked in the shopping center lot across the street and had no problem. I have heard of people being "booted" there in the evening, but have never seen any thing like that during the day. Since a lot of guys are leery of giving their vehicle to the valet, I thought this reviw would let more people know of the new policy. Since it happened on both Sat. and Sun. I am guessing it will be the new norm. Shadowcat did say that he arrived at 12:30, which is 30 minutes before the club officially opens, and was able to beat the valet guy and park his shiney new Mustang by himself.
Other than the parking change, Follies operates as normal, which is as good a deal as any club in U.S. The $10 full nude, full contact lap dances are a great value. Drink prices and cover prices are also reasonable. The selection of dancers on Sat. was not as good as my previous visit, but I still managed to find one new spinner that peaked my interest. And I later learned that several of my favorites arrived after I left. I should have stayed longer, but had some other things to do.
One other observation. Usually I (we) sit in the high top chairs along the right side of the club. This time they were taken and I ended up on the left side wall. Two things that seem different on the left side. First, I think the, already loud, music is louder of the left side. Second, most of the dancers seem to spend most of their time on the right side or in the sofa section up front. Less girls circulate on the left side. Not a big deal, but something to keep in mind.
