It’s probably time to update my Cheetah’s review. I certainly come here enough to justify it. I’m going to skip the general information about club layout and prices that have been covered in other reviews.

Interesting Update: Cheetah’s has done away with letting dancers busk the entire front of the club for tips after stage dancing. Dancers are now only allowed to circle the immediate tip rail. If a guy sitting in the comfy throne seating that face the stage along the walls holds out a dollar most dancers will come pick it up, but unlike most San Diego clubs you’re no longer expected to tip $1 a dance unless you’re right on the stage rail. The upside is when it’s not crowded, a dollar stage tip guarantees a dancer will come chat with you soon after her set, unless she’s otherwise booked up.

Mileage varies a lot from dancer to dancer, but for most the $10 “air dances” actually mean at least decent one-way contact and grinding. Despite posted signs advising otherwise, touching anything not covered by a g-string is allowed by most dancers, although I’ve had a couple dancers inform me they only allow butt and boob grabbing in the $100 VIP area. I’ve had bouncers walk by when my hands were all over a dancer and not say anything about it, so my hunch is they are only there to protect the dancers and keep things discreet.
