I went to Club Coconuts just...
I went to Club Coconuts just after 9pm on a Saturday night. The club was just opening. You pay a $5 cover at the door after being buzzed into the building. The entire club has a tropical/island/pirate theme to it. The main room is split into two areas more or less. An upper area has a bar and tables and chairs, while a lower dance floor area is where the dancers perform. You can sit at the rail, in a couch, or at a table in this lower area, and the dancers will come over and work for tips regardless. They don’t stay on the poles the whole time. There is a second room called the Hedo Lounge down a short hallway and through a door that acts as a secondary performing area with a separate DJ. While there is a pole and stage in this other room, dancers will work around the entire room getting tips from customers. Off of the Hedo Lounge is an outside smoking area called “the beach”. Next to the DJ booth in the Hedo Lounge are two closets with couches, which act as the venues for getting lap dances. A bottle of beer was affordable at $3. The crowd was mostly single guys, but as the night wore on, more couples came in. Club Coconuts seems like it could be a hybrid strip club/nightclub.
There were eight dancers working the shift. I overheard that there was supposed to be ten, but apparently a couple decided to not come in. Most of the dancers were white and heavily tattooed. I asked a few of the dancer’s their ages, and would surmise the average came to be about 29-30. There was one skinny goth dancer that could have been a stunner, but she must’ve had a baby within the last two months because her stomach was all loose skin. I spent most of my time with a rock chick who was about a 8.5 in looks and fun to talk with. Dancers were paired up, so two would be dancing the main room at once. After about three songs, the pair would move to the Hedo Lounge to dance three more songs. With only eight dancers and four slots for dancers between the two rooms, each dancer ended up spending close to 50% of her time doing the stage rotation. Being approached for dances at this club is not common. If you want to get lappers, you need to be proactive.
To get lap dances, you must prepay the DJ in the main room, who seems to be the manager. You tell him which dancer you want and how many dances you want. He then gives you a ticket where he writes the name of the dancer and the number of dances. You then notify your dancer and when she gets done with the stage rotation that spans two rooms, you can go in one of the closets in the Hedo Room to redeem your dances by giving the ticket to the girl. It is an annoying system, but obviously it allows the club to take a cut of the dances and keeps track of how much to pay out to a particular dancer at the end of the night. One dance is $15. Two dances are $30. Four dances are $50. I asked the manager if it was possible to pay for more than four dances with an entertainer, and he replied negative. The closets where the lap dances take place have holes cut into their walls like a window. They open directly into the DJ booth in the second room. The DJ didn’t constantly look into the closet or anything, but there is no way you will get extras in this club. I took two different dancers back for four dances each. The 8.5 rock chick was a lot of fun and tried to make it as hands on as possible without breaking any rules. Her cowgirl motion was almost as good as banging. A 7 was not as good. She must’ve been new to dancing and didn’t really know how to work a shaft. She blabbered for the entire four songs. When I told her that I’d have to put my cock in her mouth to shut her up, the joke went over her head and she thought I was being serious. Your mileage will vary by which dancer you choose.
