When heading into the McKees Rocks...

When heading into the McKees Rocks neighborhood, C.E. is pretty much impossible to miss. Huge facility compared to a lot of local places, the inside is very spacious and a little gaudy, with a lot of Roman-esque columns and the like. A common complaint about Pittsburgh clubs is the lack of room to move around, but it doesn't seem like it could ever be a problem at Erotica. Lots of room and a decent amount of seating between two fairly large stages on the main floor.

I wasn't there terribly long, about 90 minutes, but in that time I got a pretty good feel for the club. There were a few ethnicities represented in the dancers, but it seemed to be predominantly white ladies. Some variety in age, shape and size, but not a ton. Generally the ladies were very good looking. On and off stage, the dancers were quite friendly, and pretty low pressure. Had a couple nice conversations with non-pushy girls, and I ended up going upstairs for a lap dance from a pretty, tattoo'd brunette whose name now escapes me.

Upstairs was, for my taste, where the club loses its charm. The lapdance area, though clean, is very wide open, very public, and there is a desk at the front with a fellow reviewing multiple security cameras. Though the reclining leather seats were comfortable and conducive to a good dance, the very strict no-touching policy made the experience feel very one-sided. I know that this is the "official" policy at most places, and finding out where the true boundaries are is what makes it fun... but at C.E. I just didn't feel very comfortable getting a dance. I felt like I was being policed very closely. Don't get me wrong, it's not that I wanted to "get away" with anything the girl would be uncomfortable with... but with lap and private dances, I always hope for a more intimate experience. The lapdance area at C.E. just made me want to get back downstairs into the general population! Not sure if the feeling is any more welcoming in private rooms.
