Silk on the weekends becomes a party place, with lots of guys, girls, couples, you name it. But I decided to check it out on an early-week weeknight to see if it's a little more down-to-earth, while perhaps still holding onto some decent talent. Answer? It kinda loses both.
Went in on a Monday at about 10 p.m. or so. There were a decent number of customers, maybe 25 or so. They've made improvements to the place in recent years as the stage is now entirely backed by video screens, meaning all the songs played are accompanied by a music video. The bars still are what they are, though, and I actually had trouble finding a seat to myself at the main bar initially.
The talent, however, was ... eh. If you like 'em big up top, this wasn't exactly the night for you. There were probably about 12 dancers, of which, there were only two I particularly wanted to get dances from, one of whom had a kind of asian look to her and spent all her time crawling all over a few customers who looked like regulars.
