My first visit ever at Henry...

My first visit ever at Henry VIII. While I usually have a great time at dive clubs with guaranteed extras, VIII did not deliver for me on this night. I visited on strengths of reviews, but it just wasn't happening for me on this night.

I saw around 9 dancers - 2 white, 7 black. Not the Halle Berry type, more the nasty pockmarked fugly type. The 2 white dancers couldn't be bothered, the were busy playing darts or doing shots. Are you here to entertain or what?? I just couldn't seem to find anything that remotely inspired junior. In 45 minutes and one beer, I was never even offered a table dance. much less a VIP. Just sat at the bar, enduring way, way too much smoke (1970 called and wants their ashtrays back) with nothing particularly pleasing to the eye.

I imagine with the right girl, the monetary value rating would be much higher. For me, 0 (fun) divided by a very small number (cost) is still a 0. Learned later that nearby Bogarts was having a Christmas Party -- maybe that is what hurt my virgin VIII visit. May have to try once more someday . . . or not. Decided to cut my losses and try elsewhere.
