Cub is definitely above-average in terms of selection of strippers, but still leaves much to be desired. Although it touts itself as an upscale gentleman's cabaret, it's more similar to a typical Block bar - as one stripper there put it, they were sort of a bar that happened to have nude dancers. The place is housed in a relatively large townhouse that's typically Baltimore - longer than wide, with a bar running down the length of the first floor. The two pole stage is behind the bar, and dancers walk the bar for tips after two turns on stage. Upstairs is a loft-like view of the stage, a VIP area, and the lapdance area. The lapdance area is a bit strange in that it has semi-private areas separated by curtains, plus a very long couch along the back below the fish tanks. I say it's strange because it's not comfy like a couch dance area, not private like the tall booths in other clubs, semi-classy because of the fish tanks, and definitely not comfortable for laps - my neck felt like it was bent at an odd angle the whole time, and dancers could only get a semi-decent grind going since there was nowhere to grip on the chair/couch/runner. The dancers range from thin and tall to more 'big-boned', but I managed to find two or three girls, both brunette and blond, that I'd consider 8's. The lap dances were OK, nothing unbelievable but dancers did allow limited two-way contact. I only return because some of my favorite dancers from other clubs work here and it's close to home. Otherwise, I'd go to Wagon Wheel for good lap dances, Hustler Club for conversation, and McDoogals for close-ups of naked women (can't get closer than dancing right on you).
