It's been a few years since...

It's been a few years since I've been to the Northern. It's a nice enough club for this desolate area of the country, but it is a bit pricier, too much for this market, in my opinion. Still, I was belatedly celebrating my birthday and what better gift to give myself than watching some pretty girls come pretty darn close to getting down to their birthdays suits? Add in that my old ATF, Jesse James, was listed on the site as being there, and, yeah, I had to go!

I got there shortly after 1am. The parking lot still had a good number of cars in it. The girl at the front asked for $8 (yeah, a cover worthy of the Twin Cities, not Fargo) and for my ID. The ID had me a little curious because it's been a long time since I looked anywhere near 21. What she needed it for was to check my name against a list of people who are banned from the club. The list was only one page, but it was also three columns of fine print. Guessing there've been more than a few troublemakers. She soon handed my license back, and I stepped into the club.

Not much had changed in the front lobby, but the interior of the club certainly had. The bar looks like it was pushed back a bit, opening the area up a lot more. If I remember right, it used to have a wooden finish, sort of reminiscent of the bar from Cheers, but now it's a whiter color. The chairs and tables have likewise changed.
