This place certainly is unique on the Rhode Island scene. There’s no drinking or food nor any public dancing. Instead, you get buzzed into a small reception area staffed by up to three girls, usually. Nearby are racks of lingerie that seems it could be modeled or purchased, but these are secondary to the action here. There’s also an ATM that sometimes works. That’s important because I think Unique is a cash-only facility. How much cash? $60 gets you a room with a model for 15 minutes. For thirty minutes, the upfront price payable on the first floor is $100. You can pay extra for a VIP room, which is more spacious but I didn’t see anything else that would suggest you upgrade. So choose your model, or wait to see who else completes a session and returns to the reception area while you wait. There seem to be three shifts daily of three girls each. Once you’ve paid your room fee, head upstairs with the gal to a fully walled room with a door that closes. I’m not sure it locks. Music is provided by a boom box in the second floor corridor. Once inside, you can discuss with the gal what sort of modeling takes place and for what dollar amount of tip. Tips seem to range from $50 to $200. They determine who “gets comfortable” and then how friendly the two of you get. For $150, I got very friendly for thirty minutes with a pretty gal, perhaps a 6 or 7 out of ten. I forgot her name, but I’d go back and look to be friendly with my model again. Unique is recommended, especially as other RI clubs have become less friendly in their private dances. Enjoy!
