Wednesday night trip
It had been awhile since I visited The Mint . It is probably the only place I visit when in Greensboro . You’re money goes further here , but the talent can vary on each visit .
The parking lot is now fenced and there are a few spaces in the front of the club ( which is really the side ) and more spaces on the gravel lot . There is only one way in , and one way out . Maybe this is for safety reasons , and they can watch what is going on in front of the club.
There is a big guard that does a pat down at the the front before entry . Once you enter the front door , your ID is scanned , and there is a $10 entry fee, which goes up to $20 on the weekend .
I went to the bar and ordered a Modelo , which was $4.00 , and I surveyed the situation. There were probably 8 dances working on this night , and all are AA. One dancer that I recognized on the side stage was dancing , and then one on the front stage . I would suggest going on a Friday , as there are usually more dancers , and there is more energy . While the club opens at 9:00 , there is not much going on until 10:00 .
I went to the side stage and then the front stage for tips . This usually amounts to rubbing on the dancer’s ass and dropping a few dollars in the g-string . Some guys make it rain , but this seems like a waste of money . The best show is in the VIP , which is $20 entry , and most dancers charge $20 a song . This is inflation , as it used to be $10 a song.
I didn’t see anything that really caught my interest on this night , so I decided to leave early because I had an early work day on Thursday . As I was entering my car , these two girls drove up in a Mercedes . I watched them enter the club and both were spinners . I then thought I should have stayed a little longer . Oh well , maybe next time .
I will return . The vibe is very relaxed , there is always a sports game on the TV , and everyone leaves you alone. It’s all about the green, if you are willing to dig into your pocket , the dancers are friendly . However , the quality is never guaranteed, but I always seem to have a good time .
