Attending a conference in a hotel...

Attending a conference in a hotel a few blocks away and noticed the club which was just down the street from several restaurants. I had heard the clubs in DC/Virginia area were pretty bad, so my expectations were low. Stopped in the club anyway and was not sure what to make of it since it was more restaurant than strip club. A section is enclosed where smoking is allowed -- this area takes up about a third of the club. They did have cigars and seating was available at the bar so I went to the smoking section. Many people eating and it actually looked pretty good. There is a small stage each girl dances at for two songs and then then make rounds and collect a dollar or two from each guy. So every two songs you'll be dishing out a couple bucks which is OK, but half the time I wasn't watching them since the bar seating faces away from the stage. Not much tipping occurs at the stage that I noticed. There were two private rooms which I did not visit on this night -- I doubt it's worth it. Anyway, the girls were not bad looking and pleasant enough. I quickly noticed the girls would hang out with the locals. That sucked, but I was enjoying the vibe of the club, a cool beer and a cigar. They had sports on the TVs as well, so at the very least I could enjoy the girls and a game. They had a good mix of music as well -- a little something for everybody.

They serve beer and wine only which was a drag. Not much of a wine drinker and more than a few beers and I'm ready for something less filling. Not sure why they don't serve a full bar. Regardless, I had a nice time and will likely return before my trip is over. A good place to chill.
