After a couple of boring visits...

After a couple of boring visits to the Gold Club over the past several months, I decided to try again on a recent Thursday night. I must say that the atmosphere had improved dramatically. There were probably 20-25 dancers on duty, and almost all were very attractive. And they were lively, circulating around, joking, and generally showing interest in their work and the customers. Much different from my previous 2 visits. I recognized at least 3 dancers who previously had worked at the Pony. I stopped one of them (very cute, great body) and asked her if she was in the wrong place. She just smiled and asked me to “have some fun” with her. I agreed—she had danced for me at the Pony under the name Priscilla (?) and was fantastic. Before we got started, I tried to talk to her about why she (and the others) had switched clubs. Again, just a big smile but no explanation. She didn’t tell me anything about it. Anyway, she did two dances for $40, I think. Much cheaper than at the Pony with its crazy pricing system. But, she was much more reserved and careful here. The “private” dance rooms at Gold Club are completely open to the main club, and the bouncers come by often. They feel free to interrupt the dancers if they think they are getting too frisky. So, overall dance experience not great, particularly with the strictly enforced Memphis tops-on ordinance But, still an enjoyable evening because of the fun and lively atmosphere. A side note—saw one customer pass out drunk in the middle of getting a dance. Dancer was NOT happy.
