Down from Albuquerque on a business...
Down from Albuquerque on a business trip so I decided to check out the El Paso clubs. Went to Tequila simply because it is on the freeway and therefore easy to find and I did not like the idea of hunting around unfamiliar areas late at night. Compared to Albuquerque, the club is big and nice. There is a huge stage and it kept busy even though there were not many customers.
I ordered a beer and sat in the back to check out the talent. All of the girls were very attractive, I was impressed. After a few songs I started going up to the stage for some tipping. The stage is a V shape with little islands at the center and on the ends but it is so high off the floor, that there is not much contact possible.
A couple of dancers asked if I wanted a dance and some came by my seat and chatted a bit, but none were too pushy. One really caught my attention on the stage and she came back and offered a dance so I figured I would give it a chance. Of course she wanted me to go to the back where it was more private (and expensive) but I didn't want to spend all of my money at once so I suggested a dark, fairly private corner. She promised me all kinds of intimate fun but once we started and I didn't pay for the VIP treatment her attitude changed quickly and she gave a couple very blah dances. I asked her to stop after two but she almost refused to and then she demanded a tip, which I hate. If you do a great dance I will tip at least the cost of a song, but if you are just trying to get my money for nothing, I get a bit offended. Anyway she started into something about needing the money and so on so I gave $10 tip just to get it over with on friendly terms. I was a bit put off by the whole thing but figured I would stay a bit and see how things went.
