After having some after work drinks...
After having some after work drinks a buddy and I decided to take in the Cricket. We arrived about 8pm, and hour after posted opening time and arrived to see no dancers on stage and just a couple patrons at the bar. The club itself is fairly small with one main stage and no side stages. It was a Thursday and as a bonus there was no cover, but the lack of dancers was disappointing since we weren't planning a late evening. We asked the bartender what gives, and she said the dancers aren't required to be there until 9pm. Deciding we didn't want to leave and drink prices are fairly reasonable we stayed.
The dancers finally arrived a few minutes after 9pm a couple at a time and it was close to 9:30 when the first one started on the main and only stage. It was a typical 2 song routine and then they would mill around the room. Most of the dancers were not well endowed, but many were eager and friendly making up for the lack of appeal. I watched a few dances from the chairs that lined all sides of the stage and the dollars seemed to provide a fair amount of engagement. I picked on dancer (whose name escapes me) for a private dance). I was lead upstairs to one of 3 small private curtained booths. I chose 2 songs for $45. The dances were full nude with contact allowed except between the legs. This particular dancer might have been new because she kept apologizing for her lack of grace during the dances. The songs came and went with only about 2 moves from the private dance, which would have been due to the lack of room in the space. I paid up and left opting to not get another dance.
I think the cricket is a great hangout spot for a night out with the fellas, but not necessarily a club you would go to see prime talent. A fistful of dollars would get you plenty to have a good time with at the main stage, but the private dances although not too expensive do leave a little to be desired.
