I ended up back at SSJ...
I ended up back at SSJ fairly late on a weeknight. $10 entry fee at the door. (Just say you are a member, or they will charge you an additional membership fee. I actually am a member, but they never look it up.) The crowd had apparently already thinned out by the time I got there. Ten dancers, and only 12-15 customers at any given time. The two dancers I look for normally weren't in, so I was forced to explore some new territory. The club seems to really like the tall, white, thin looking dancer, because the majority of them fit this mold. There was a new dancer named Alana (?) who used to work in Atlanta who stood out as different. A more full natural figure, nice to talk with, but gives lame dances for this club. (Some air dancing, and same 4 moves repeated over and over.) The lapdances are pretty strictly one-way contact, but the amount of contact you get from each dancer does vary pretty widely. A number of dancers told me it has been slow lately, and the apparent legal trouble at a nearby SC has caused people to be even more cautious. (Or the club could just be slowly going downhill, and people are voting with their wallets by not coming to the club.) I actually heard a dancer offer a money-back guarantee if a guy didn't like her dances. What?!?!?
The club has updated some of the photos on their site, although they haven't taken down the ones of dancers who no longer work there. Roxy is a tall, thin ditzy blond bundle of energy who loves showing off in the couch room. I've heard good things about K.C's dances but she isn't really my type. (Unlike some clubs I have been in, most of the dancers here don't pull aside the g-string for a closer look in the couch room. I'm guessing that it might be because they get totally naked on stage? Why not show it off in the private area as well? Must be some legal or club rule?)
It is still a juice bar, so BYOB. The DJ seems to have gotten a handle on the equipment, so there aren't so many annoying gaps in songs, although several dancers complained that he was playing the wrong music. They don't cut songs short either, although I saw a couple of dancers walk off stage before their set was over since no one was tipping. If you want to sit around and talk, the music is normally quiet enough that you can do so without shouting. If you find a dancer to your liking, you can normally spend as much time with her as you/she wants, because the crowds are thin and she probably has the time. (At least on weekdays, I don't ever come in on weekends.) If you don't want company, but just want to watch the gynocolgy show on stage, the dancers take "no" very well, and won't bother or pester you about dances.
